As general manager of Body USA
I search to have the best personal trainers at our
facility. In this age of fast food, high carb diets
as well as baby boomers coming into retirement
age they must have knowledge in all areas
of personal training as well as rehabilitation for
all ages. Michael is one of those trainers. He is a
superb trainer. He is very knowledgeable in his
craft. His personality is wonderful to be around.
Over the years I have seen his
clients melt away fat weight and gain lean muscle
weight to live a healthier happy life style. I am
very proud of him as a person, a personal trainer
and to call him a good friend. I am very honored to
have him here at Body USA.

I have a difficult
time motivating myself to work out on my own. I stopped
working out regularly about 7 years ago and have been
slowly gaining weight (all in the wrong places) until
reaching my heaviest weight of 230 lbs. In June 2007, I
decided to begin working out and change my diet.
I interviewed quite a
few trainers before choosing Michael. The first thing
that drew me to him was his reasonable price. I also
liked the sound of the super slow method he uses in his
training. I read up on this style and thought it would
be the safest method for me as I have had a history of
neck and back problems, especially when working out. |
|
When I started working out with Michael, I
found his manner very encouraging and positive, which helps keep
me coming back. He is always quick to point out the improvements
I have made with each workout. I look forward to my workouts
with Michael every time.
I have had trainers in the past, who all used
the same method: 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps of the heaviest weight
I can manage. I seemed to have many neck problems in the past,
but not with the super slow method. Michael is always watching
me for proper form as I lift to be sure I am not causing
inappropriate stress on my neck.
Through working out with Michael 2 times per
week, and through being very careful about what I am eating, I
lost 45 pounds in about 4 months. I have been able to keep the
weight off so far, and have been between 185 and 190 pounds for
the past 5 months. I am also able to see excellent results in
muscle development, and am very pleased.

Although I was not new to working
out with a personal trainer, I was looking for an
expert who would not only help me achieve my fitness
goals, but would carefully document my progress
during each session, and I certainly found that in
Michael Ball. Although there are many trainers in
Los Angeles, many don't seem very well-organized,
and so in lieu of written notations must make
constant guesses on new exercises or weight
increments to push their clients, which only wastes
everyone's time and impedes their progress.
Michael's notes on each client are so extensive that
he can give specifics on various performance metrics
for each session, which is great for those who want
to compete against themselves to achieve gains in
strength and overall fitness.

|
Michael is also an expert in the Super
Slow method, which is superb for those who want a full-body
workout in the least amount of time, helps avoid injuries
and builds the 'slow fiber' muscles often ignored by
traditional strength training regimens.
Finally, don't mistake Michael's
personable and laid-back personality for a pushover: he
will drive you as hard as a Marine drill sergeant but will
smile throughout the process, making you want to make him as
proud as you are as you see a new body emerge and fitness
improve. If you're looking for a supportive way to achieve
your fitness goals and stick with it for the long term, I'd
highly recommend training with Michael Ball.

My
brother Ilya, a NABBA World Finalist, and I know how
important it is to have a great personal trainer. It
makes all the difference in winning or loosing a
championship. We have the privilege to know Michael. As
a matter of fact I worked out together with Michael
for about 6 months when I was visiting Los Angeles a few
years ago.
I recommend Michael to everyone who wants to
build a great body. |

In a part of
the world in which "uniqueness" is perhaps a bit
exaggerated, Michael Ball brings an extra ray
of light. How he does this may be unexplainable.
Michael's presence may not be exactly more
spiritual, though it very well could be. It could be
something of the upbeat, Black Belt Belgian, and his
luck of the genetic draw, you suspect, in which his
talent is not an overcompensation of his ability to
influence people, rather innately European
qualities.
It could be
that Michael's ability to convert uncertainty into
strength, lies in his natural, giving smile; in his
mettle both gracious and humble. Michael's support
system seems blissfully quiet, confident in his joy
for life, and unstudied in his manner. Anybody who
associates themselves with Michael Ball will be
rewarded many times over.
